You’d just turn your nastiness guns on someone else if Alec stopped posting.

If V never posted again there simply would be no reason to ever look at this site, the entertainment value is incredible!

Side, would yo prefer that Alex never posts again or that alternatively he only ever post in support of Trevor B?

Can you imagine what V was like at primary school, even a game of marbles would have been a nightmare for him!

I think the team shape is often what allows aggression and commitment.

If we want Masuaku to attack, there needs to be a shape that can cover for that - with the 4-1-4-1 he can expect Obiang and Rice to be moving across behind him when he makes a forward run. Which also frees up Anderson to express himself rather than always covering for his full-back.

The same in midfield - when Noble won that ball for our second goal against Everton he could only do that because he knows there's cover behind him in the shape. If he does the same tackle in a 4-4-2 and misses it, the opposition will be running at our back four a few seconds later.

The more organised the system you play, the more positive you can be within it.

Darby

What you believe about formations is of absolutely no interest to V, displayed by the fact that he hasn't posted and argued about formations constantly for days on end. Even when he is clearly incorrect.

Darby_ 12:36 Wed Sep 26
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Chelsea - The Official Match Thread
The formation was irrelevant. Alex saying that 4-3-3 and 4-1-4-1 are the same thing goes to show how vague and irrelevant formations are to everyone except speccy geeks.

The big difference in the last two games was the level of aggression and commitment that the team showed.

As I've said before, while all our new players gel as a team, they'll need to show twice as much aggression and commitment. We have a great team and once we get through this tough initial settling-in period, the pay-off will be some great football.

But the players need to keep their heads down until then.

I showed you stills from the match to prove I am right. There are literally hundreds of other examples from the matches I could have picked.

What the clique on here, with their aggressive nastiness, want to believe about formations is of literally no interest to me.

>>> It's rather odd how Alex V hasn't lobbied them to change it. It must be absolutely destroying the rain man cunt to know he is wrong about something.

As I've already said, I don't consider 4-3-3 to be an incorrect notation of our shape. I just consider 4-1-4-1 to be better.

Pellegrini will be on his shit list now for confirming he's (Alex V) a knob.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Chelsea - The Official Match Thread
The official site still says we played 433 against Chelsea, straight from the managers line up and team sheet.

It's rather odd how Alex V hasn't lobbied them to change it. It must be absolutely destroying the rain man cunt to know he is wrong about something.

I think we’ll play 4-7-2, and pack the midfield, deny them space, and launch a few counter attacks every so often.

I’ve been up all night pondering our formation for tonight any of you go t any ideas

Kaiser Zoso 10:54 Wed Sep 26
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Chelsea - The Official Match Thread
I think you’ve been attempting to back up your assertion that we 'packed the midfield', Alex.

Conceding we play 4-3-3 doesn’t fit that view

We had no more men in midfield than Chelsea.
